‘Lux Partum’ – ‘emission of light’ in Latin – was a beautifully sculpted interactive lighting installation and live stream staged at the Motorwerk event space in Berlin, created by lighting and show designer Chris Moylan and his team. This comprised Lars Murasch, Andreas Schindler, and Matthias Schöffmann together with acclaimed DJ and music producer Paul van Dyk who composed a special soundtrack and played a three-hour live concert during the first weekend.

The Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre (TMAC) is a lively and unique multipurpose performance space located in Taunton, Somerset, UK, and dedicated to staging an array of shows, events and activities for the whole community embracing music, dance, drama, comedy, spoken word and other genres. The action also recognised the central role the nursing profession has played worldwide in fighting the spread of the coronavirus pandemic and the World Health Organisation which has designated 2020 as ‘International Year of the Nurse’.

As we all go through the COVID 19 situation, a great many sayings have emerged. Most were, at first, clever, uplifting, and catchy. In a resounding Sunday night collective action – the largest to date - on 19^th April, over 50 lighting and laser companies joined Clearsound to shine lights in the sky, united by the hashtag #ourshininglight

From now on, Ars Electronica is offering a delivery service! “Ars Electronica Home Delivery” will be sending a range of elaborately composed future visions directly to your living room, kitchen, kids’ room, balcony, or terrace. We’re offering a weekly program that includes guided tours of Ars Electronica exhibitions, excursions to the Ars Electronica Labs, visits to the Machine Learning Studio, concerts with real-time visualizations, Deep Space LIVE sessions, workshops with engineers, and talks with artists and scientists from all over the world. None of this will be pre-recorded, most of it will be interactive, and all of it will be LIVE. That led to him purchasing a Horus fitted with 32 input and 8 output channels and two laptops running Pyramix Native. As I/O demands increased for larger orchestral film score work and clients began asking for DXD/DSD capabilities, a Hapi was added along with a PT64 card (for interfacing with a Pro Tools HD Native system), 16 channels of Premium AD and 8 channels of Premium DA to “mix n match” according to the session requirements.

Organizers of the 4K 4Charity Fun Run series announced today that the running and walking event hosted in collaboration with the National Association of Broadcasters’ (NAB) Show is going virtual for 2020. The 4K 4Charity series leverages fun, healthy activities to help raise funds for non-profits focused on increasing diversity and inclusion in the technology and media industries, and celebrates advancements in video technology, such as Ultra High Definition (UHD) 4K and 8K video. Various landmark installations that have been lit with Anolis lighting fixtures have been turning blue on Thursday evenings for the ‘Clap For Carers’ initiative in support of the National Health Service (NHS) and other essential workers engaged on the front lines in battling the Coronavirus Pandemic. This includes Rhyl Promenade in North Wales where several key features are lit; Bromley High Street in Kent, a major thoroughfare in the heart of the city and popular live music venue the O₂ Guildhall in Southampton, Hampshire.
