More and more artists want - and currently need - to live stream their concerts. In the Dutch market, a Music OB truck with high standards was not available until now. NEP has closed this gap with the MusicOne. The 12-meter long and very spacious truck is equipped with a soundproof sound control room, a production suite that can be converted into a video control room, and a roof terrace that can be used for stand-ups with the event as a backdrop or as a chill-out area. The mobile sound control room can be used anywhere in the world with a connection to NEP’s centralized production platform and is suitable for any formation and genre. Good acoustics are very important for the sound engineers' work, but space in a mobile truck is always a compromise.

Dan Ridd, Steven Haynes and a team from Clearsound Productions in Shipston on Stour, UK, marked the culmination of a week of #LightItInRed ‘heart’ actions around the country with a spectacular livestream broadcast featuring mixmaster DJ Benji surrounded by a cool heart-shaped lighting rig designed by Steven and featuring Robe moving lights! With overall direction by Dan Ridd and camera and humour direction by Andy Cox, the multi-camera broadcast included two drone feeds plus assorted visual highlights from the last year of #LightItInRed campaigns. These have focused on keeping the entertainment, production, and performance industry visible and relevant during the pandemic and consequent shut down, and this content was eloquently wrangled by #LightItInRed’s Sarah Berryman.

The newly launched Alice platform, developed by Ideal Systems Cloud Division, Ideal Media Works, is a cloud native Business Process Management (BPM), operations orchestration and integration framework. It allows for the logical integration and management of disparate business and technical functions of today’s broadcast and media operators. As broadcast manufacturers around the world move their technology to cloud-based systems, operators are facing the task of integrating many of these different cloud-based products into their technical and business workflow, which is exactly the problem that Alice solves.

Roma Musical Theatre in Warsaw has long been at the forefront of Poland’s musical theatre scene. The venue regularly invests in the latest equipment to maintain its competitive edge as a technical leader, the latest example being a new audio system – including intercom solutions from RTS, supplied by Polish RTS partner Audio Plus.

The theatre stages one play per season, which is performed every day, often to a packed house. As the most famous musical theatre in the country, the staging of these performances breaks boundaries and sets the direction for professional theatre in Poland. “In order to efficiently produce such spectacular musicals in our theatre, many components are needed, including a failure-free intercom system,” says Wojciech Kępczyński, Artistic Director of Roma Musical Theatre. “A stage manager producing such a large performance does not want to spend his time thinking about communication with an actor or the technology deployed. League of Legends’ World Championship 2020 Finals was staged at the new Pudong Football Stadium in Shanghai, China, a high-profile, hi-energy event notable for many things, which – in addition to being an eSports calendar highlight – included a spectacular production lighting design by Mat Stovall of LampedUp and his team who helped produce dazzling opening and closing ceremonies plus seat-edge atmospheric engineering, boosting the buzz, thrills and spills of the gaming action. Thirty-seven Robe RoboSpot systems were part of a large lighting rig for the event, specified by Mat and associate LD Trevor Stirlin Burk of Visual Noise Creative, and supplied by Christie Lites out of their UK and US bases … to the event’s main technical contractor, Creative Technology (CT) Shanghai.
