MediaHub Australia, a leading specialist in broadcast playout, content delivery, data handling and archiving solutions, has selected EVS’ Media Infrastructure solutions as the cornerstone of its upgraded in-house master control room (MCR). Following an extensive 12-month RFP process, the current SDI-based environment located inside the Ingleburn facility will make way for a SMPTE 2022-6/7 and 2110 IP platform based on EVS’ Cerebrum control and monitoring solution and Neuron, its advanced IP stream processing platform. The deployment will be undertaken by EVS alongside local partner Magna Systems. In addition, MediaHub Australia is also one of EVS’ newest customers following the acquisition of Axon, confirming the strategic importance of the deal that was signed in May 2020.
Tokyo-Based ADK Creative One Upgrades Commercial Post Facility With AJA 4K/UltraHD 12G-SDI Solutions
Increasing consumer demand for high-fidelity video and audio content is raising the bar for commercial advertising. While legacy 3G-SDI infrastructures are adequate for HD production and delivery, commercial post facilities like Tokyo-based ATELIER ARTE are seeking the latest 4K/UltraHD and 12G-SDI solutions to future-proof workflows and scale to handle higher bandwidth content. ATELIER ARTE, the post-production arm of Japanese advertising creative services provider ADK Creative One, recently teamed with technology partner Visual Graphics Inc. (VGI) to overhaul its existing post-production infrastructure with a new and robust system capable of handling 4K and HD content simultaneously with streamlined single-cable 12G-SDI transport.

The State Opera of South Australia’s production of iconic Australian drama Summer of the 17th Doll … was the first show to utilise the new facilities in the 1467-seat main auditorium – which includes the 24 new Robe moving lights, twelve of each type. The Summer of the 17th Doll action is set in the Melbourne suburb of Carlton in 1953, focussing on the lives of six central characters.

Hard hitting new campaign launched by #WeMakeEvents, as survey shows live event supply chain on verge of collapse
Today, #WeMakeEvents launches a hard-hitting campaign, rallying the UK Government to provide urgent relief to a struggling live events sector. The Government Can’t See Us, Can You? shows the devastation the pandemic has wrought on the live event supply chain – told through the stories of the highly-skilled professionals whose livelihoods have been seriously damaged. #WeMakeEvents is calling on the Government – in an open letter to Rishi Sunak – to halt the destruction of the sector by recognising the impact of the pandemic on the live event supply chain, to support individuals and businesses to survive while they cannot work, and to engage with the sector to develop a plan for reopening, including Government-backed COVID-19 cancellation insurance.
