Leading German broadcast facilities company, _wige SOLUTIONS GmbH, has purchased a Snell Kahuna 9600 production switcher for a new  mobile production unit that will soon be joining its extensive fleet. Based in Meuspath, Germany, _wige SOLUTIONS has been supplying complete outside broadcast event services for over 25 years; this will be the sixth Snell switcher the company has purchased for its OB operations. The new mobile production unit, consisting of modular components to provide maximum flexibility, will be completed in spring 2015 and provide more broadcast possibilities than a conventional OB van.

_wige unveils new HD OB truck HD_two and adds LDX series to camera inventory

_wige MEDIA AG will deploy its new HD OB truck HD_two for the first time at the Lausitzring from 29 to 31 May for the second DTM race meetings of the 2015 season. HD_two will handle the production of the national broadcast by Südwestrundfunk (SWR), with equipment including three wireless cameras, a separate highlights edit suite and a range of audio technologies. The vehicle, assembled on the chassis of the company’s previous Ü6 truck and comprehensively rebuilt over the last few months to meet the latest standards, incorporates a video production set, an audio production set and a multi-purpose area for tasks such as editing and secondary production.
