In the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2021, held from February 8-21, 2021 in Cortina d'Ampezzo (Italy), the medal table shows Austria, Switzerland and France as the most successful nations of the competition. The Jupiler Pro League has secured new international exposure with leading streaming platforms MyCujoo, OneFootball and LIVENow. As a result of the MEDIAPRO brokered deals, Belgian club football will now be available in major European markets including France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK. Since the start of their Belgian football collaboration in summer 2020, Eleven Sports and the Pro League have been committed to driving innovation across their partnership, including in their approach to international distribution. They have partnered with Mediapro, an expert player on the global stage in sports rights management, to lead this distribution effort. Mediapro last week secured an agreement with ESPN to bring the Belgian league to fans throughout the Americas and the Oceania region.
Buenos Aires will play host to the 2020 Copa Conmebol Libertadores Femenina between this coming March 5th to March 21st. The event was cancelled last year due to the coronavirus pandemic. In what is scheduled to be a unique sporting event, the tournament consists of 32 matches to be played at the Vélez Sarsfield and Deportivo Morón stadiums.

This deal brings technological, operational and commercial benefits to the broadcast services company; Gravity Media’s purchase commitment to leverage more lines within the vendor’s broad portfolio and increase volume over time, means Grass Valley provides better pricing, creative financing and closer technological collaboration. The initial investment under the new agreement includes Sirius 840 Series routers, which will deploy across 12 venues for a major European soccer tournament postponed to this summer.

The Executive Board (EB) of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has proposed a new strategic roadmap, Olympic Agenda 2020+5, to the upcoming IOC Session. It consists of 15 recommendations. The new roadmap follows Olympic Agenda 2020 and will guide the work of the IOC and the Olympic Movement for the next five years. Olympic Agenda 2020+5 will be submitted to the IOC Members for discussion and adoption at the 137th IOC Session in March this year. The title, Olympic Agenda 2020+5, has been chosen to reflect the fact that this new roadmap is the successor to Olympic Agenda 2020 and will guide the work of the IOC and the Olympic Movement until 2025.
MEDIAPRO Canada has acquired the rights to two national team tournaments, the SheBelieves Cup and the CONCACAF Men’s Olympic qualifying tournament, and will show live coverage of all Canada games on OneSoccer, its dedicated soccer channel available nationwide. Next week, OneSoccer will air live coverage of Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team as they take on the USA, Brazil and Argentina in the SheBelieves Cup, the invitational soccer tournament for women’s national teams hosted in the US by the United States Soccer Federation.
