G&D bringing its latest products to Amsterdam from September 9 to 12
After a long wait, IBC is finally opening its doors again under the slogan “we are your community,” in order to showcase the very latest trends and innovations of the broadcast industry. The German KVM manufacturer Guntermann & Drunck GmbH looks forward to meeting you and will be presenting innovative solutions for a strong alliance between broadcast and IT.

An absolute highlight in IP transmission—the new VisionXS
At stand 8.B89, visitors can experience the new high-performance KVM-over-IP extender VisionXS. With 10G data transmission technology for an even better user experience and with resolutions of up to 4K, VisionXS combines a large range of functions with performance in a pocket-size format. In this series, the manufacturer is once again using its tried-and-tested, lossless compression bluedec™, which enables an authentic, pixel-perfect viewing experience. A particular highlight is the integrated switch functionality “IP-MUX,” which allows one console device to manage multiple target IP addresses from up to 20 computer sources, with no additional hardware. This means that the VisionXS offers a smart application that is easy to use, as in simple applications you can use the on-screen display to switch between the various sources. As is typical for G&D, the new devices are fully compatible with previous products. Thanks to their extensive compatibility, the KVM systems provide the perfect solution for any application. This gives you even more planning reliability for extending installations quickly and easily, even for upgrades.

From multi-monitor workstation to adjustable solution
G&D’s new highlight in its product portfolio makes it possible to extend installations: the PersonalWorkplace-Controller, which opens up many new possibilities. Displaying multiple screens on one single monitor makes work enormously easier for broadcasting professionals. This enables workers to keep track of all content at a glance, without needing any additional monitors at their workstation. With the Multiviewing Tool, up to 26 video sources can be displayed and controlled on one single screen, depending on the application. The different product variants can be used for different purposes. In addition to using one or more monitors at the workstation, the PersonalWorkplace-Controller can also be used to display the sources on a large video wall. The advantage for broadcasting professionals is an almost infinitely flexible layout with a high image quality of up to 4K60.

The workflow is optimized in Imageall applications in which multiple signals need to be operated and monitored. Combining a KVM system with the PersonalWorkplace-Controller ensures reliable, performant, and flexible access to all relevant computer systems. For hybrid infrastructures, virtual content such as images, text, or videos can be integrated by the PersonalWorkplace-Controller, in addition to physical sources.

Making pro-gaming feel right
ImageKVM solutions are already an integral part of a broadcast—but they also have a place in e-sports. The popularity of e-sports has risen enormously in the past decade, resulting in more demanding technological requirements for the relevant equipment. At the G&D stand, you will be able to see how the KVM approach optimizes the entire workflow for gamers and producers when it comes to broadcasting competitions or major live events in arenas. The systems meet all the requirements of professional gamers: zero-latency and pixel-perfect access to high-performance computers in real time and high frame rates of up to 240 HZ/s. Producers can also access the various sources in real time and thanks to frame rate conversion make the various signals available for viewers on a video wall or in streams in scaled form. The result: an optimal and collaborative workflow for human and machine.
