PlayBox Neo helps Mono Streaming make global sports accessible

Mono Streaming, a subsidiary of Thailand’s leading media broadcast and content conglomerate Mono Next Public Company Limited (MONO), expands across IPTV, free-to-air, and cable channels which also includes the “Monomax” streaming platform, digital TV channel MONO29, and other ventures in publishing, music, and mobile content.

Monomax subscribers now extend to over a million for their “Standard Package” alone, owing to the surging demand for English Premier League content. This significant milestone confirms the increasing appetite for premium football content to be delivered to Thailand’s OTT ecosystem and Monomax securing its position as the “go-to platform for sports enthusiasts.” 

In partnership with PlayBox Neo’s local dealer Central Solutions Co. Ltd, the project included supplying Mono Streaming with four new Channel-in-a-Box HD server upgrades and licences in configuration with ingest to replace old legacy playback and recording systems. The brand new CiaB servers consist of three channels per server, including 1080p frames to fully support the required ad streaming specifications. Installation and training were conducted onsite which included technical and operational.

PlayBox Neo’s Channel-in-a-Box is the complete broadcast playout server solution offering all the essential facilities to sustain streaming content over OTT, combining AirBox Neo which automates content streaming and broadcast playout with 4K-UHD optimisation. In addition, ListBox Neo scheduling, TitleBox Neo interactive CG and graphics, Ingest content ingest, and Media Gateway live delivery are included. PlayBox Neo's platforms support playout in multi-resolutions including 4K, HD and SD, ensuring the highest levels of playout security at all times.

The latest PlayBox Neo enhancements dynamically revamp live playout, stream switching, and multiviewer monitoring, delivering meticulous accuracy, efficiency and unrivalled control. Other new features include “Intelligent Input Switching” that allows seamless switching between SDI, NDI, Screen Input, Decoded Stream, AirBox Neo, and TitleBox Neo. Secondly, the new “Penalty Box Multiviewer” spots challenges faster. The latest “TS Time Delay” multiviewer now quickly identifies input stream issues, optimising performance. The intuitive “Stream and Input Switch Monitoring Interface” offers real-time status further streamlining broadcast workflows for maximum efficiency. Other new features include advanced audio channel remapping; frame interpolation for frame-rate conversion; enhanced alarm settings, SCTE35 conversion support, and expanded NDI support.
