3ality Digital, world leader in advanced technologies to empower creative digital stereoscopic 3D acquisition, has been chosen to supply its systems for the highly anticipated film THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, which is now in production from Columbia Pictures and will be released on July 3, 2012. EVS will introduce the third generation of its XT servers at NAB. Arqiva has worked with major rights holder More2Screen to deliver a world first to digital cinema audiences around the UK and Ireland. On 23 February Arqiva’s digital cinema satellite platform distributed the world’s first live opera to cinemas in digital 3D. The English National Opera performance of Donizetti’s Lucrezia Borgia was directed by Oscar-winning film director Mike Figgis.

Spatial View announced that Arius3D Corp., through its licensing arm A3DL Ltd., has joined 3DeeCentral as its newest content partner to add to the rapidly growing library of free and paid stereo 3D images and videos. Arius3D, a visual content creator and digital publisher, believes that 3DeeCentral is an excellent vehicle to expose their content to a wider audience of stereo 3D consumers. A3DL Ltd. specializes in managing the intellectual property rights of Arius3D produced content by structuring licensing agreements with end users.

Scheduled for launch at NAB Show 2011 in Las Vegas, the Camera Corps CC-3D Universal RCP allows six cameras of different makes and models and to be comprehensively remote controlled from a single panel.

Preco reports a positive and enthusiastic reaction to the Teranex VC1-2D-3D stereoscopic image generator which made its UK exhibition debut mid February at Broadcast Video Expo in London. Continuous demonstrations of the system were held throughout the show, led by Teranex General Manager Mike Poirier.
