At NAB 2013 TVLogic will debut a new 30" 4K DCI monitor specifically designed for demanding 4096 x 2160 DCI 4K digital cinema monitoring − featuring the widest viewing angle, contrast ratio, and color gamut of any 4K display in its size and class.

OLED technology offers many benefits over conventional flat-panel designs, including the widest possible color gamut, 100,000:1 contrast ratio, blazingly fast image response, and full 180° viewing angle.

Hannover-based TVN MOBILE PRODUCTION, one of Europe's largest outside broadcast fleet operators, has ordered five Leader LV5490 test instruments for use in its first UHD-HDR mobile production truck. Logic Media Solutions, Leader's Darmstadt-based channel partner, supported TVN during pre-purchase evaluation and will complete the delivery.

TVN is strongly expanding its UHD capacities: the film and TV production company from Hannover is upgrading one of its existing OB trucks with further Sony UHD equipment. 12 UHD HDC-4300 live camera systems, two CineAlta PMW-F55 cameras, the XVS-8000 video switcher and PWS-4500 the production server system were recently integrated. The 4K equipment has already successfully completed the UHD first broadcasts of football matches for German television. The TV service provider plans to increase its mobile 4K capacities further in 2017.

ACTAMEDYA has realized two important Ultra HD (4k) productions in a week. Besiktas- v.s. Napoli match in UEFA Champions League and Fenerbahce v.s. Manchester United match in UEFA European League were broadcast Ultra HD (4K) by ACTAMEDYA on TRT4K with sponsorship of BEKO.

At the 9th of December 2015 Broadcast Solutions held its Broadcast Innovation Day at the company’s headquarters in Germany. During the event visitors had the chance to witness the world premiere of two new members to the slomo.tv product family. With BlackJack 4K and Arrow 4K the company once again sets a new standard in slow motion servers. Initially planned for this years’ NAB show both products were shown for the first time at the Broadcast Innovation Day and are available immediately.
 

NAB Show in Las Vegas will see the world premiere of two new 4K 50/60p slow-motion replay servers. Slomo.tv will show at their booth SL6321 the RED ARROW and BlackJack 4K - two new product family members that push the boundaries of slow-motion replay servers even further. With these new products the company once again sets new standards

Today UEFA will produce the 2015 UEFA Champions League final in Berlin live in 4K. The match will be broadcast live from the world-famous Olympiastadion in Berlin in stunning ultra-high definition, and the production company TopVision will use Sony’s new HDC-4300 4K/HD live production camera.

FC Barcelona were on the receiving end of a heavy 0-4 defeat in Munich, as the Blaugrana were outclassed by a Bayern side full of hunger, desire and discipline. Thomas Müller opened the scoring on 25 minutes with a close-range finish, and Mario Gomez doubled the hosts’ advantage with a similar finish just four minutes after the half-time break. Arjen Robben made it three with less than 20 minutes remaining before Müller rounded off a superb night for the Bavarians with his second of the evening on 82 minutes. For this year at least, Barcelona’s UEFA Champions League dreams are all but over.

More than 5,000 people watched the Champions League final match in 3D at the cinema, in a unique and pioneering initiative taken by TV3 to cinemas across Catalonia. A total of 22 cinemas in 17 cities offered the only 3D images of Barça’s victory that were available in Spain, in a broadcast by TV3 and by TV3HD channels in parallel to that of television. Six cinemas in Barcelona city, as well as cinemas in Mataró, Terrassa, Gavà, L’Hospitalet and Badalona sold out all available tickets. Overall, 75% of seating space in all cinemas that broadcast the match in 3D was filled.

UEFA has delivered the world’s first uncompressed UHD remote production trial during the 2017 UEFA European Under-21 Championship Final, held in Poland in June, in collaboration with Snell Advanced Media (SAM) and system’s integrator, Gearhouse Broadcast. During the Championship final game, the IP system – which replaced a traditional OB set up - delivered live camera signals from the Marshal Józef Piłsudski Stadium in Krakow, Poland to UEFA who were located at BT Sport’s facility at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London, around 1600km away, ready for live edit and playout.

UEFA has selected the UEFA Champions League semi-finals between Manchester City and Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid and Bayern Munich for the first European demonstration of the newly launched Nokia OZO 360 virtual reality camera in a sporting environment.
