Night of the Proms is a series of concerts held yearly in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and Spain. Regularly there are also shows in France, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg and the Scandinavian countries. The concerts consist of a combination of pop music and popular classical music (often combined) and various well-known musicians and groups usually participate. Night of the Proms is the biggest annually organized indoor event in Europe. The annual production of the DVD (in future also on Blu-ray available) was carried out at the concert in Cologne by the Belgium High Definition Production company “Outside Broadcast”.

With its 360°shape, the LED screen surrounds the band while performing and can change shape in alldirections during the concert, For the third time this millennium, the Barco – U2 cooperationresulted in a revolutionary approach to video, this time totaling more than 500,000 pixels ofvideo, making it the biggest LED screen ever used in concert touring. U2’s worldwide tourkicks off 30 June in a sold out Camp Nou stadium in Barcelona, Spain.

One of the world’s favourite opera masterpieces – Aida - is among the most popular works by Giuseppe Verdi. In October Aida was performed in a very original form on the stage of the Moscow International House of Music (MMDM). It was the first time the famous opera, which has been performed for 140 years, was accompanied by unique large-scale projections created by 360Project Company. Svetlanov Hall of MMDM was full of the spirit and icons of Ancient Egypt. The installation included two Christie Roadster S+20K, two Christie HD10K-M alongside slide projectors.

After a five-year hiatus, multi Grammy® Award-winning band No Doubt have reunited, trekking across the U.S. and Canada on a summer tour that’s just winding down. Helping the band get the crowd on their feet each night is veteran front-of-house live sound engineer John Kerns, who depends on a VENUE Profile System to handle the band’s high energy shows, rigorous touring schedule, and high 64-input channel count.

For the production of the 50th transmission of the New Years Concert of the “Wiener Philharmoniker” from the “Goldener Saal des Wiener Musikvereins”, ORF commissioned TopVision with its HD Ü5 OBVan to generate the live signal of the event. 89 television stations delivered the signal to about one billion viewers around the world. And for the first time the Swiss Broadcaster “HD Suisse” broadcasted the signal in High Definition.

During his "Berlin Calling Tour" Paul Kalkbrenner performed on 17 April 2010 in the Jahrhunder Halle in Frankfurt. Pfadfinderei, an internationally renowned design collective, was responsible for the visualization of Kalkbrenners performance on the stage. For the lighting effects Max Schöntag was in charge. A team of cameramen around Max Penzel recorded the event in High Definition.

Out once again on tour with Muse, lighting designer Oli Metcalfe is the first LD to use the new High End Systems Hog 4 control system. During a recent string of shows in the UK and Europe, Metcalfe had the opportunity to swap out his Full Boar console for the new Hog 4 desk. Metcalfe's design is already turning heads for its creative implementation of video surfaces across a giant articulating pyramid that symbolizes the system of power and global politics; his approach to networking and control is similarly cutting-edge.

In the mid-‘70s, Live Sound became Audio-Technica’s passion. But it was a long, hard journey from the early days of its performance microphones 30 years ago to the widespread use of Audio-Technica’s state-of-the-art wireless mics on concert stages across the various genres of the music industry today. The Metropole Orchestra is an institution. Originally public, the orchestra used to play as the national jazz and pop orchestra for the Netherlands Radio, Television and Broadcast Company. Composed by professional musicians, the band has played with numerous famous artists since its creation in 1945.

On 27^th August 2015, audio specialist Sennheiser presented an extraordinary concert at London’s Central Hall Westminster, featuring performances by Grammy award-winning artist Imogen Heap and the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie orchestra conducted by Jonathan Stockhammer. The concert was part of an exclusive event that kicked off Sennheiser’s “Reshaping excellence” campaign, celebrating Sennheiser’s 70-year history of innovation and offering a very first look at the audio specialist’s next milestone audiophile product. The concert – including two world-firsts – was mixed in truly cutting-edge fashion by Tonmeister Gregor Zielinsky to demonstrate the immense potential of 3D immersive audio.

For the fiftieth time, the Montreux Jazz Festival invited the international Jazz scene to the little town on Lake Geneva. This jubilee, which took place from July 1-16, was celebrated with a fully packed programme including major talents from today and yesterday. The programme reads even more like the who’s who of Jazz and related genres than ever before.

Having completed the design of Coldplay’s all new, Wigwam built control system, digital design specialist Alex Hadjigeorgiou, along with Account Manager, Chris Hill, have taken the technical design lead for the fibre infrastructure on the band’s latest trans-Atlantic tour, A Headful of Dreams.
