A pair of grandMA2 lighting consoles was recently installed by Miami Stagecraft at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts - one for the John S. and one for the James L. Knight Concert Hall. Miami Stagecraft also upgraded the hall’s entire network to 1Gbit to promote fast, high-speed response time.

niconico Kunikaigi was held jointly with Anime Festival Asia 2014 (AFA) at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Center from Dec. 5 (Fri.) to 7 (Sun). During these three days, the number of visitors exceeded last year’s total of 85,000 and AFA’s previous record, to reach 90,000, while roughly 450,000 viewers were watching it on niconico Live.

Products from AJA Video Systems featured prominently in the video infrastructure of the 2011 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, held in April and May. Louisiana-based Full Motion Productions handled tapeless recording of performances using AJA Ki Pro digital recorders for archiving and streaming, and put multiple AJA FS1 HD/SD audio and video converters to work supporting on-site big-screen projection of live performances on the main stages.

With more than 4.000 colorfully dressed attendees at the 20th annual Life Ball, Europe’s biggest AIDS awareness charity event and fashion show, representatives from around the globe gathered to help raise awareness and charitable donations to fight the disease.  The “Fight The Flames of Ignorance”-themed event’s performances and speakers were brought to life through premium wireless microphones and in ear monitoring systems by Vienna-based HARMAN’s AKG.

Working to focus the spotlight on the true artistry of hip hop, curator and artist herself, Miz Metro has combined visual works of art with classic rap tracks and remixes in her gallery, The Art of Rap: Remixed and Mastered.  Inspired by the Ice-T documentary, The Art of Rap, the New York City gallery features hip hop centric graffiti art and photos by renowned artists Shirt King Phade, Jamel Shabazz and Ryan Keeley. Utilizing HARMAN’s AKG K702 headphones, the gallery comes alive with newly remixed sounds by Keith Shocklee.

Helping to raise awareness for treatment and prevention of HIV/AIDS around the world, AKG donated nearly 100 wireless microphone systems and handheld microphones in support of the 2010 Life Ball, held in Vienna, Austria. The event, which is one of the largest charity events in the world, is held annually to help raise money and awareness in the fight against HIV/AIDS, with the proceeds from ticket sales and donations going to various non-profit organizations for people suffering from HIV or AIDS.

On May 16, 2015, Vienna’s City Hall Square was transformed into a gold-drenched fantasy world as it hosted Life Ball, Europe’s biggest AIDS charity event. As thousands of celebrities, musicians and revelers came together to raise awareness for the cause, AKG provided world-class audio to complement the stunning visuals.

AKG recently provided a complete set of microphones to support the Chelsea Academy, the recently opened secondary school in southwest London created to be an outstanding centre of education and creativity. Working with The Bryan Adams Foundation, AKG has donated a 6-piece drum microphone set and four C1000 S condenser mics to the Academy's Music Centre, which is designed to give students a thorough grounding in performance and recording techniques.

Utilizing an arsenal of cutting-edge audio tools highlighted by a HARMAN Studer Vista 8 digital mixing console, audio engineer Alain Poirier of Radio-Canada Montreal recently earned a 2011 Gémeaux Award for Best Sound in a TV Show (Humor and Variety) for “En Direct de L’Univers,” a one-hour weekly variety show on Radio-Canada French TV Network. The Gémeaux Awards honor French Canadian achievements in Canadian television and is sponsored by the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television.

For the very first time, ARRI ALEXA cameras equipped with the Fiber Remote Option have been used for a live television broadcast. The setting for this significant achievement was an opera at the Bregenz Festival in Austria -- the inaugural production of André Tchaikowsky's adaptation of William Shakespeare's play THE MERCHANT OF VENICE. Swiss production company TPC made the decision to shoot the opera exclusively with ALEXA Fiber Remotes, using six of the cameras to create a highly dynamic live transmission.

Mongolian band AnDa Union are using DPA microphones on their current world tour to provide a powerful live sound for a large and wonderful variety of acoustic instruments. The band, who hail from Hohhot in China, formed in a mission to discover and perpetuate their Mongolian musical heritage, and have been performing worldwide for the past eight years. The mics were supplied by DPA’s UK distributor, Sound Network.
