The Georgia Dome in Atlanta recently hosted more than 60,000 college students representing more than 2,000 universities from 56 countries for Passion 2013, with four days of prayer, inspirational speakers, worship and efforts to end human slavery.  Mobile production specialist TNDV captured the entire event, bringing its two largest trucks onsite to create spectacular in-house HD projections and live broadcast-quality web streams.

TNDV Celebrates Tenth Year as Mobile Production Arm for Annual Barbershop Quartet Contest 

This month, as it has for the past decade, mobile production specialist TNDV provided on-site broadcast production for in-house projection and Web streaming feeds for the 2015 annual International Collegiate Barbershop Quartet Contest, hosted by the Barbershop Harmony Society. This year’s competition, which took place Saturday, July 4 at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, was webcast live on the society’s website for viewers worldwide, and projected live in the arena for fans, competitors and judges in attendance.

TNDV Celebrates Business Milestone with National Quartet Convention Production

TNDV this month hit the 100-project milestone for its flagship HD/SD mobile production truck, Aspiration, in Louisville, Kentucky, where the company produced outside broadcast and in-house feeds for the annual National Quartet Convention (NQC).  TNDV also brought its recently-launched audio truck Vibration to the venue, Freedom Hall, to produce surround sound feeds (5.1 and 7.2) and multitrack recordings for the world-renowned six-day gospel music event.

TNDV Captures the Excitement of the “Road to the Horse 2017” Colt Starting Championship

Known as the world’s premiere colt starting competition, the Road to the Horse (RTTH) 2017—which was held this spring at Horse Park’s Alltech Arena in Lexington, KY—featured a “Celebration of the Cowgirl,” as talented female clinicians competed to tame, saddle and ride a wild colt in record time. The annual three-day event drew thousands of horse-loving spectators, as well as a global online audience that watched the live webcast on Road to the Horse TV.

Due to unprecedented demand from Switzerland’s classical outdoor festival circuit, TiMax distributor Bleuel Electronics AG have invested in additional TiMax Tracker and TiMax2 SoundHub systems from UK developer Out Board. With their existing rental stock already fully committed to other shows, Bleuel purchased a further TiMax SoundHub-R32 delay matrix and four-sensor TiMax Tracker (TT) performer tracking system to service a spectacular in-the-round production of Carmen being staged outdoors in Schinznach Dorf.

Thurn & Taxis Classic Festival 2014 with Lawo mc²56

As in recent years, sound engineer Carsten Kümmel handled classical production duties at the 2014 Thurn & Taxis Classic Festival (Schlossfestspiele) in Regensburg/Germany. Among the performances he mixed were Guiseppe Verdi’s Rigoletto, Operas in Bavarian and the gala performance of star soprano Angela Gheorghiu and the Symphonic Orchestra from Hof/Germany – all on a Lawo mc²56 console. In addition to Kümmel’s work as the event’s house engineer, guest mix engineers, such as Giora Feidman, were able to use the console extremely comfortably.

Theater Muenster Continues to Rely on Stage Tec

Theater Muenster has used the summer break to expand its existing AURUS NEXUS system from Berlin manufacturer Stage Tec. Two CRESCENDO-T consoles with 24 and 16 faders were installed in the theatre’s Small House. The existing NEXUS network was extended with a STAR router and a Base Device. New fibre-optic and Dante interfaces as well as seven RMDQ audio DSP units for the existing NEXUS network were also supplied. The NEXUS software was upgraded.

The production "The world of Hans Zimmer - a Symphonic Celebration" has been touring since 2018. The tour, initially focused on Germany, has already been extended several times and is now enthusing countless fans in other European countries. In this impressive audiovisual experience, the world-famous themes of the German film composer were arranged for orchestra for the first time. For the authorized tour, the artist has made the entire music selection and is supervising the artistic development. The production is being conducted by Gavin Greenaway, a long-time companion of Hans Zimmer.

It all began with a documentary on the TV arts channel “arte” about the world’s coldest inhabited place, Oymyakon in the far east of Russia. The programme also mentioned “ice whispering”, a phenomenon that occurs when people breathe and speak in extremely low temperatures. The breath immediately freezes, generating a crackling noise that follows the speaker like a shadow.
