DHD Enhances XD3 IP Core with High Capacity Quad-Core CPU
DHD audio has chosen IBC 2023 as the venue for the introduction of a high capacity quad-core version of its established XD3 IP Core. Scheduled for introduction on DHD stand 8.B73, the quad-core-equipped XD3 IP Core is designed for use with mixing systems incorporating up to 96 stereo audio faders in broadcast studio environments, plus 10,240 x 12,288 channel routing.

Shure has announced that an agreement has been reached for it to acquire Ab Wavemark Oy, a leader in software products for theater, film, TV, broadcast, and content streaming applications. The acquisition will add Wavemark’s products to Shure’s professional audio portfolio.

Genelec helps Israel’s Dubidub Studios create immersive Dream Room
Tel Aviv-based dubbing and post-production facility Dubidub Studios is seen as a technology leader in Israel, so it came as no surprise when it wanted to embrace immersive audio and create the first professional Atmos studio in the country. When it came to the monitoring solution, Genelec provided the answer.
The main driver behind the move to Atmos was demand from international clients. "Atmos today already completely dominates the theatrical industry," says Dubidub CEO Ami Offir. "All major companies in the world would probably nowadays produce their content in Dolby Atmos, not in 5.1 or 7.1."

Digital imaging technologists (DITs) have become paramount to productions in recent years as virtual production, HDR, and remote work have brought new technologies and challenges to on-set and post workflows. While common in the West, the DIT role is still emerging in China. Beijing-based Astora Digital, founded in 2020, is working to establish DIT standards in the region to support film, television, and advertising productions in transitioning to new models. The company provides video technology, workflow solutions, and post services to advertising agencies and film production companies, primarily in Beijing, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai.
TVU Networks Elevates FISA World University Games’ Live Broadcast with Fully Integrated Cloud-Based REMI Solution
The FISA World University Games, recently held in Chengdu, China, brought together 6,500 college athletes from around the world for twelve days of competition, showcasing the power of youth and sports. The organizers turned to TVU Networks, a pioneer in cloud-based workflow solutions for live content production and distribution, to help with live coverage of the entire volleyball competition. It marked the first time FISA World University Games used a cloud-based REMI solution to transmit game play to a remote studio.
