Lawo’s Unified Platform Grows in All Directions at IBC 2024
At IBC 2024, booth 8B90, Lawo presents its comprehensive portfolio of flexible and scalable audio, video, control, and monitoring solutions with a slew of innovations and enhancements to its IP-based broadcast solutions. One highlight at IBC will be the official launch of the HOME mc² DSP app – announced at NAB in April and already being used at global sporting events – which will become available in Q4 2024. In addition to significant enhancements to the current HOME Apps offering, Lawo will unveil a broadened feature set for its existing HOME Apps in live production, playout across multiple media, and broadcast platforms in compressed and uncompressed workflows. The advanced .edge gateway platform receives an audio and video power boost, and welcomes new optional licenses that can be activated and stopped via the Lawo Flex commercial scheme. The free and standard version of the highly anticipated Lawo VSC app will be released in August, and the new crystal broadcast console will make its first appearance at a major European tradeshow.

Genelec helps Molok Studios create Italy’s first Dolby Atmos gaming studio
Located in Milan, Molok Studios is a prominent multilingual game, movie and digital localisation and post-production company. When it came to creating its new premises, Molok observed the trend of games moving towards spatial audio environments, and decided to create two Genelec-powered 7.1.4 rooms – thereby becoming the first Dolby Atmos gaming studio in Italy. Bridge Technologies Release Upgraded Terrestrial and Cable Module VB258 for their existing VB120 and VB220 network monitoring probes
In anticipation of the upcoming IBC2024 Show in Amsterdam (Booth 1.A71), Bridge Technologies today announce the release of the VB258, an upgrade module for their existing VB120 and VB220 monitoring probe lines, both of which constitute cost-effective and powerful monitoring solutions that accommodate a range of network standards, including IP unicasts and multicasts, OTT/ABR streams, and a whole range of RF formats, as well as SRT and ASI. The new VB258 addition will allow monitoring of up to four independent RF inputs, supporting DVB-T/T2, ATSC1.0/ATSC 3.0, DVB-C, QAM-B and ISDB-T formats. This makes it ideal for networks that incorporate terrestrial or cable delivery elements.

Armored HDMI2.1 cables offer lossless 8K data transmission – with or without protective sleeve for the HDMI connectors
With its special stainless steel armoring, the new HDMI2.1 cable offers maximum robustness and optimally protects its sensitive inner workings from potential damage. The armored structure of the cable ensures a high load capacity and allows a tensile strength of up to 80 kg. The HDMI connectors with their robust housings also offer maximum stability and can withstand a tensile force of up to 65 kg. Despite this extremely robust construction, the cable is surprisingly slim at just 5.8 mm and can be laid flexibly with a minimum bending radius of just 20 mm.
