Singapore’s largest content creator and national media network, Mediacorp, has once again chosen various TVU solutions to broadcast the 2023 Southeast Asian Games across its suite of TV channels, radio stations and digital platforms. The 32nd Southeast Asian Games kicked off in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, on May 5, 2023, which attracted more than 7,000 athletes from 11 countries within the region to compete for 5,151 medals in 37 competitive events. Leading Japanese broadcaster Asahi Television Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) has upgraded its ‘202’ outside broadcast truck to create a 5.1.4 immersive environment. The upgrade relied on a combination of Genelec’s 'The Ones’ three-way coaxial monitors and GLM calibration software, and has provided ABC with a futureproof OB solution for the next generation of broadcast standards.

Leveraging a backbone built on Amazon Web Services (AWS), the FOX team optimized settings from signal acquisition through end-viewer delivery to ensure a premium viewer experience across devices, raising the non-4K default to 1080p from the previous 720p.
