Abbey Road Studios, one of the world's longest-established and most highly respected recording companies, has taken delivery of four NTP DAD AX24 eight-channel ultra-high-quality analogue-to-digital/digital-to-analogue audio signal converters. All four will be deployed during recording sessions as microphone preamplifiers and analogue-to-MADI interfaces. They will be operated in conjunction with Abbey Road's Pyramix digital audio workstations. Two of the units are additionally fitted with the IO192-PHD interface card allowing them to work with Avid Protools.

Leading automation provider, Abit, today announced that it has installed its new Present It automation system at CBC (Cologne Broadcasting Center) new premises in Köln-Deutz as part of CBC’s relocation project resulting in a highly integrated workflow specifically designed around the latest Broadcast equipment and the corporate IT infrastructure.

Following on from the project to broadcast the Winter Olympics in HD on the NRK1 channel, NRK, the Norwegian government owned radio and television public broadcaster, has contracted Abit to upgrade its automation system. The software upgrade to Abit’s installed HD ready Present-it automation system, will now provide the capability for the additional channels NRK2 and NRK3, to transmit in HD.
