Welk Aviation Takes Flight with AERIGON, Aerial Remote Camera Head for Professionals
Welk Aviation has made a bold move into the professional unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) market with the purchase of two AERIGON aerial remote camera heads (ARCH™) from Intuitive Aerial. The AERIGON, for which Welk Aviation has received an FAA 333 exemption, will provide an expanded palette of HD and UHD aerial camera capture for the helicopter company’s TV and motion picture clients. This is a significant development for Hollywood filmmakers and L.A. broadcasters, who now have access right in their backyard to the only professional ARCH capable of operating heavy broadcast and feature film-ready cameras and lenses.

Elation EPT6IP LED Video Panels Picture Perfect on NY CityFest
Elation Professional’s new EPT6IP high-resolution LED display panels played a key role at NY CityFest with Luis Palau, a free outdoor concert held July 11th on the Great Lawn in New York’s Central Park. Boston-based rental and production company Audio Spectrum Inc. provided all of the LED video screens and staging for the event, some 280 EPT6IP panels in all, some of which were sub-rented from Elation dealer Gemini Light, Sound & Video. Lighting design for the event was by Gordon Painter and Kevin Shaw.

RCS Inks Four-Year Graphics Technology Deal with Fox Sports Netherlands
Fox Sports Netherlands' new daily highlights show "Fox Sports Vandaag" debuted this week with graphics reflecting up-to-date sports news and data powered by custom ticker solutions from Reality Check Systems (RCS). Part of a four-year deal with RCS, the systems facilitate a customizable reverse L-Bar graphic that the network's editorial team may instantly edit and populate with real-time player, team and match stats. With an array of templates available on the systems for a wide range of sports, the network plans to use the technology to enliven "Fox Sports Vandaag" as well as other half-time, pre-match and post-match studio coverage of live sporting events, including the 2015-2016 Eredivisie soccer season.
