Infront Sports & Media has appointed Winston Zheng as the new Managing Director of Infront China. Zheng is a specialised sports marketing professional and holds in-depth knowledge of the Chinese sports market as well as diverse international expertise. Zheng is to take over all operational duties as Managing Director of Infront China from Ma Guoli with immediate effect. In turn and as previously announced, Ma Guoli is stepping up to become Chairman of the Infront China Board.

Telestream, provider of digital media tools and workflow solutions, today announced Version 7.5 of its Wirecast live streaming and production software. In a strategic move aimed at strengthening its position as the leading live stream feeder platform to social media networks, Telestream has announced Wirecast support for the Periscope/Twitter API. This means that any user, from tech-savvy consumers to online broadcasters, can employ Wirecast to stream live full motion video to Periscope.tv, which will appear natively within their Twitter feeds.

Sony has today announced new functionality that will allow newsgatherers to wirelessly stream live footage directly from cameras as they shoot, in a move set to radically speed up production workflows. Building on Sony’s wireless technology, several of the PXW-series XDCAM camcorders 1 will now be capable of streaming footage live, while Sony’s CBK-series wireless adapters 2 will be able to unlock live streaming for any camera with an SDI connection.

Broadcast Sports Inc. (BSI), a leading developer and service provider of wireless camera, audio and communication systems, used their new wireless version of the NAC slow motion camera at the Chelsea Liverpool Premiership soccer game for Sky Sports on last Sunday. The wireless NAC system was used to cover the live action for 100% of the game, replacing the standard RF camera while simultaneously providing a live replay feature.

The Borussia Dortmund Corso Truck drives past tens of thousands of onlookers standing by the roadside, merrily cheering their soccer club for winning the German Football Association Cup. German company Wireworx – Gesellschaft für audiovisuelle Medien mbH, is honoured with a Sinus – Systems Integration Award in the category „Corporate“. The Sinus – Systems Integration Award is awarded by trade show Prolight + Sound and pays tribute to projects distinguished by the innovative and future-oriented use of media technology and systems integration within complex projects. The award ceremony will be held during trade show Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt. The ceremony takes place on April 7th 2016 on the fairgrounds of Messe Frankfurt.
