UK entertainment and architectural lighting control manufacturers Zero 88 and iLight have consolidated and streamlined the production facilities and processes at their shared factory in Cwmbran, Wales. This is to generally boost efficiency and ensure full compliance with the new post Covid-19 health and safety at work directives related to social distancing and general hygiene.

Following its successful launch at the show last year, FLX8 now joins the FLX family of lighting consoles as the latest 8 universe version of the PLASA Innovation Award winning FLX product line.

Hong Kong-based Widelite Technology Limited has installed Zero 88 FLX range lighting control consoles and Chilli dimmers in over 30 schools – to date – for the government’s Education Bureau (EDB) department which is tasked with overseeing state-wide education and learning.

The acquisition expands Zest4.TV’s facilities from its traditional multi-camera flypack solutions to full outside broadcast facilities, with the addition of an 8-camera Mercedes Vario truck with full HD engineering and audio capabilities.

Portable production specialist Zest4.TV has unlocked its communications with the purchase of a Trilogy Orator intercom. This new addition enhances production efficiency for the company in two ways: by making it easy to connect directly to other production systems in use at the event; and by providing comprehensive and easy to use functionality ensuring everyone who needs it, has the right communication tools for the job in hand.

Having relied on HARMAN’s Soundcraft mixing consoles for more than a decade, Zhaoqing Radio in the Chinese province of Guangdong recently added two HARMAN Studer OnAir 2500 Modulo mixing consoles. The consoles were acquired from local HARMAN distributor ACE, and were installed in the two live studios that broadcast music and traffic information on the local radio.

In Hangzhou, capital of China's Zhejiang province, a popular Concert Hall has been given a new identity after an extensive refurbishment by its owners, the Zhejiang Radio and Television Group. Built in the 1990s as a music hall, the venue has been transformed into a multi-function theatre and television studio with HDTV production capability, thanks to the installation of a Lawo mc²66 digital audio console, the first in East China.

The new Zhejiang International Film and Television Center building houses studios and production facilities and several departments responsible for online and new media operations.  Operational staff spread over several floors in the building need instant access to broadcast equipment and systems located several tens or hundreds of meters away in another part of the building.
