Novatech recognised nationally at the Meetings & Events Australia Awards
Novatech Creative Event Technology were honoured to receive national recognition with two awards for Audio-Visual Services and Innovation at the recent Meetings & Events Australia live-streamed 2019 National Awards Night. Novatech were crowned winners of three awards at state level with wins in the categories of Audio-Visual Services, Innovation and Special Event of the Year. For the very first time, the State Awards were held in conjunction with the National Awards as part of a live streamed event from the ICC Sydney Studios.

The 62nd Grammy Awards became the first major broadcast event to utilize a large complement of Claypaky Xtylos fixtures when Lighting Designers Bob Dickinson and Noah Mitz of Full Flood Inc. deployed 60 Xtylos for Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s duet, “Nobody But You.”

Normally Mother’s Day in Australia means spending time with Mum and the family, but the strict government restrictions in place as a result of COVID-19 meant the closest families could get this year was a FaceTime call. Despite the restrictions that were in place, the team at the Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne wanted to make this year’s Mother’s Day special and called on Australia’s premier lighting specialist Resolution X for help.

Tellyo, leading developers of a cloud-based live video editing, clipping, and stream production suite, today announced that they produced the Crufts Young Kennel Club event, the world’s greatest dog show, with Sunset+Vine, for livestreams of the four-day event. Novatech brings Yabarra – Dreaming in Light to life at Adelaide Fringe
The signature installation of the 2020 Adelaide Fringe Festival, Yabarra – Dreaming in Light, ran at Tandanya National Aboriginal Cultural Institute from 12 Feb to 15 March. Created in partnership with Aboriginal arts collective Yellaka, Epson, Monkeystack, Illuminart and MOD, it told the creation story of Tjilbruke, interpreted by Karl Winda Telfer and the Williams clan of the Kaurna people. Equipped with cutting edge technology and innovative design, Novatech Creative Event Technology were entrusted to bring the story to life.

The charismatic singer/song writer Mika’s Revelation tour in support of his fifth studio album, My Name is Michael Holbrook, may have been postponed midway through due to the current coronavirus crisis, but it wowed audiences from autumn through to this spring. Lighting designer for the tour was Vince Foster who, with an impressive CV which spans well over thirty years, requires little introduction.

Hamburg's Stage Theater, Neue Flora, relied on Clear-Com’s® digital wireless solutions for the production of Cirque Du Soleil’s new musical, Paramour. The production is an energetic combination of traditional musical elements, circus-like splendor and impressive acrobatics, forged from the partnership between Cirque Du Soleil and live production company, Stage Entertainment. The musical had already experienced great success on Broadway and had geared up for its European premiere at one of Germany’s largest stage theaters.

The Westside Theatre, one of the last remaining commercial Off-Broadway spaces left in New York City, has had an impressive lineup of productions on its marquee over the years, including a 12-year run of I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, a show that lighting designer Bradley King remembers seeing as a kid. King, known for his work on Natasha, Pierre, & The Great Comet of 1812 and Hadestown, for which he won Tony and Drama Desk Awards for lighting in 2017 and 2019 respectively, was back at Westside last fall, this time designing the lighting for the highly anticipated return to Off-Broadway of Little Shop of Horrors.
Rotterdam returns as Eurovision Song Contest Host City in 2021
The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and its Dutch Members NPO, NOS and AVROTROS are excited to have reached an agreement to stage the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam at the Ahoy Arena. The Dutch city was due to host the Contest this month before the event was cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

holiday home studio in Curacao. The new facility offers a completely different look and feel from
Hardwell’s main studio in the Netherlands, but with the same reference sound quality and low end control thanks to Genelec studio monitors and subwoofers.
FOX Sports’ South Beach Studio Stops Traffic with LED Video Walls Driven by disguise During Super Bowl LIV
FOX Sports went the whole nine yards in its coverage of Super Bowl LIV in Miami this year, building a South Beach studio compound that represented the network’s largest footprint ever for a Super Bowl. FOX Sports’ collaborated with Creative Works London on the studios’ set content package, which featured disguise solutions driving more than 50 square meters of LED video at the compound.
