Six Camera Corps Q-Ball robotic heads were used to provide live coverage of a record-breaking BBC Radio 1 broadcast by Chris Moyles and Dave Vitty. Televised via the red button on digital BBC 1 and on the Radio 1 website, the presentation commenced at 5 am on Wednesday 16th March, surpassing Simon Mayo's 37-hour record for longest Radio 1 show on Thursday evening and continuing to a total 51 hours 30 minutes by 8.30 am on Friday 18th March.

Still rockin’: Michael Monroe conquers Helsinki with grandMA2

Michael Monroe, born as Matti Fagerholm in 1962 in Helsinki, is a Finnish rock musician and multi-instrumentalist who rose to fame as the vocalist for the glam punk band Hanoi Rocks. Monroe also served as the frontman for all-star side projects such as Demolition 23. and Jerusalem Slim. During his “Sensory Overdrive” World Tour 2011 Michael Monroe played two gigs in Helsinki’s Tavastia Club. Mikki Kunttu worked as lighting designer, programmer and operator for the shows with the assistance of his grandMA2 light.

Two experienced and respected Belgian sound engineers are currently taking their first ride on Soundcraft’s Vi platform and loving every minute of it.
