Arqiva transmits ‘Believe: The Eddie Izzard Story’ to UK cinemas

Arqiva, on behalf of Cineworld, has provided complete transmission services for the launch of Believe: The Eddie Izzard Story in their UK Cinemas. Arqiva’s SNG/Production-facilities truck was deployed to the Cineworld Cinema on Haymarket where it played out and uplinked the film to satellites including Arqiva’s Digital Cinema Platform on IS905. The truck then provided HD filming and uplinking of the live Q&A session with Eddie Izzard, hosted by Phil Jupitus in front of a celebrity audience. The complete event was downlinked and screened by nearly fifty Cineworld cinemas around the UK on 18 November.

PBS’ “Antiques Roadshow” Goes Tapeless with AJA Ki Pro

To handle that kind of performance diversity, Conan needed mix consoles for both music and production dialog that could keep up with the fast timing and quick turns of the show, and that’s exactly what the two Studer Vista 9 digital consoles specifically installed for the program at the Warner Bros Studio Facilities’ Stage 15, in Burbank, California provide. A grandMA2 full-size console was chosen by LD Mauritz Jacobs to control all lighting for the 2010 Final of Miss South Africa, staged at Sun City Superbowl. Lighting equipment for the all-action, high-energy show - also a live MNET telecast - was supplied by Johannesburg Dream Sets, who purchased their grandMA2 from MA’s South African distributor DWR earlier in the year. They were one of the first companies in South Africa to run the new grandMA2 with the latest software version.
