Worms is ranked top among German historic cities. According to the Nibelungen saga, Siegfried the dragon slayer was murdered here by Hagen von Tronje at the Court of Burgundy. Now the city is going to take advantage of its rich history and location in the heart of Europe by positioning itself as a point where culture and business meet. On January 29 a new convention centre in the heart of Worms, built by Gerkan, Marg and Partner architects, open its doors together with the completely refurbished municipal theatre. Installation of all audio and video systems in the sprawling complex was undertaken by the systems integrator division of the SALZBRENNER STAGETEC MEDIAGROUP.

Green Hippo at Huddersfield’s Festival of Light

One of the biggest annual events in Huddersfield, the Festival of Light, once again made a great impression in 2010. The festival took place from 02nd – 05th December 2010, and alongside the main event in St George’s Square there were a wide range of fringe events taking place across the town. Part of the festival this year was ‘Light Trail’, an event that saw several of the towns landmarks illuminated, with the display commencing at 4pm every afternoon for the duration of the festival.

The annual winter event put on by Kirklees Council was this year expanded to fill the weekend across 2nd – 5th December. As well as the usual street theatre spectacular which traditionally packs out the town’s St George’s Square, the council prepared other events, all project managed by TG Events’ Tim Garbutt.

The Vienna Philharmonic New Year's Concert is in terms of international coverage the largest classical music event in the world. In 2011 the concert will once again be broadcast on television and radio to over 70 countries worldwide. A Technology Trio at the Opera

Moving an opera is not trivial: Two years of renovation works at Berlin’s Schillertheater are now complete. In October, the theatre will become the temporary home of the Berlin State Opera because the main house at Unter den Linden requires renovation. As a system provider, the SALZBRENNER STAGETEC MEDIAGROUP participated in the project of making the 200-year-old theatre building fit for use as an opera. The high-performance media infrastructure now installed will allow for state-of-the-art drama productions even when the Opera returns to its home in 2013.
