NEP UK and Ireland, part of the global production services organization NEP Group, is transforming its fleet. Central to this is a fleet of four radically new large-scale trucks. This new design follows the loss of some of the company’s assets in a catastrophic fire at its main base at the beginning of November 2015. Imagine Communications was already engaged in discussions with NEP and so sped up its delivery to meet NEP’s requirements.

Over the last four years, Pac-12 Networks has developed this model of broadcasting and is now inspiring others to do the same – in fact, its model is the inspiration to many of the industry’s big-hitters, with the likes of ESPN, Sky Sports, Time Warner Cable and Fox Sports looking at Pac-12’s infrastructure to help them become more efficient.

A new installation of TSL’s TallyMan controller provides a showcase for the system’s expanded control capabilities resulting from a collaboration between TSL and systems integrator WTS Broadcast. The system has been incorporated into the new HD broadcast truck operated by horseracing industry services specialist RaceTech.

In September 2013 MRMC and LL began discussions around ways to employ motion control robotics to realise a radically different approach to broadcast studio content acquisition and workflows.

Every four years the FIFA World Cup showcases the skill and talent of the world’s best players, but it is more than just a football tournament: It is the aspiration of FIFA TV to deliver a world class TV production. This year all 64 matches were produced on the basis of a 34-HD camera plan with increased coverage, content and features, as well as 4K and 8K camera coverage in addition to a wide range of multi-media services that complemented and enhanced the broadcast of the FIFA World Cup.

A new reality format is breaking all the records in the Netherlands: “Utopia” is a hit with both TV and Internet audiences. Devised by John de Mol and produced by Talpa, “Utopia” has invited 15 inhabitants to leave their usual lives behind for a full year to create an ideal mini-society of their own in Blaricum, near Hilversum. Multimedia company Dutchview was faced with the big challenge of covering a 12,500 square metre area with both video and audio recording equipment to follow the Utopia inhabitants. In order to provide coverage to this vast area with an RF wireless solution, they turned to Sennheiser Benelux for assistance.
