VRT, the Flemish language national broadcaster in Belgium, has outsourced its outside broadcast services to supplier Videohouse which has committed to building two new high definition production trucks equipped with Grass Valley™ cameras, vision mixers, and routers. The new contract maintains Grass Valley’s a nearly 100% market share for broadcast HD system cameras in Belgium.

Belden, has introduced a high-quality SMPTE311 HD Camera Assembly that supports 720p, 1080i and 1080p. HD cameras provide digital transmission using SMPTE311 standard fiber optic cable for connecting to the camera control unit. German television channel ZDF has purchased a large end-to-end broadcast infrastructure solution comprising products from Harris Corporation. The equipment was selected for the HD upgrade of ZDF’s entire mobile production department, ZDF Mobile Produktions Einheit (MPE), located in Mainz, Germany.

Harris BroadcastCommunications has just announced the sale of an end-to-end HDinfrastructure solution to French SI Preview for four of their new"turn-key system" HD OB vans to be used at the 2010 African Cupof Nations in Angola in January. The Harris installations includerouters, audio and video processors, multiviewers, test and measurement toolsand graphics systems.

 Cypriot audio visual facility City Studios has moved into a new, purpose-built complex consisting of five dubbing suites, a video suite and the largest music production studio in Cyprus. In line with the expansion, the 20-year-old facility has updated with state of the art equipment including a large inventory of DPA microphones.

With EVS’ XT[2] Multicam 10 software release, available May 2009, all existing XT[2] LSM systems will offer a higher level of integration with ARRI Media Hi-Motion systems. ARRI Media is the specialist in high-speed High Definition cameras. This new integration with hypermotion cameras will allow live sport operators to manage all hypermotion functions, including recording, replay, and clipping, directly from the EVS LSM remote controller.
