MediaCorp, Singapore’s leading media company, has chosen a Lawo mc²66 digital audio console for its new outside broadcast vehicle, the first High Definition OBVan with surround capability in South-East Asia.

At CABSAT 2010 Omneon will demonstrate HD workflows including easy, flexible multiformat playout based on the new MIP-5501, part of the MediaPort 5500 series. The MIP-5501 will be featured performing back-to-back playout of SD and HD clips on the same timeline, with real-time up- and downconversion enabling a mix of MPEG and DV formats.

SGT in cooperation with BFE, announced that the Swiss TV network TSR (Télévision Suisse Romande) has chosen the VEDA™ platform for its new playout automation system. The project called “CDD2010” will be set up by BFE with the objective to overhaul TSR´s broadcast center (Centre De Diffusion) in Geneva. The playout automation system will be installed for the two Premium channels, TSR1 and TSR2, and as of 2011 for thematic IP channels. The final system is expected to be on air during the second half of 2010.
