Omneon Inc. today announced that Electronic Media Network Limited (M-Net), South Africa's first private subscription television service, is expanding its Omneon installation to include two Spectrum(TM) media server systems and a MediaGrid(TM) active storage system. CHARLOTTE, NC– NASCAR Media Group (NMG) has installed a 32+8-fader Solid State Logic C100 HDS digital broadcast console and MORSERouter to accommodate the need for HD workflow in a new studio build out. NASCAR Media Group creates and produces broadcast programming and home entertainment video related to the sport and provides the technical and production services for everything NASCAR including several series and specials for FOX, CMT, SPEED and SHOWTIME. The C100 HDS is used on programming favorites Inside NASCAR and NASCAR Now.

 The Czech outside broadcast provider Reckord installed a comprehensive intercom system from Riedel Communications in its new HD OB truck REC5 HD. Riedel Communications, renowned for leading intercom, fiber based signal distribution and audio networks, delivered a communications infrastructure comprised of a Riedel Artist digital matrix intercom system, several RiFace professional mobile radio interfaces and connections to remote studios via Connect Duo. Kit Digital, a system integrator and Riedel's Czech partner, handled the installation. The truck will be the largest HD OB truck in the Czech Republic, equipped with up to 24 cameras.
