DB Video invests in SAM Kahuna for new 4K HDR OB truck
Snell Advanced Media (SAM) announced that Belgian OB and facilities company, DB Video, has invested in its flagship Kahuna 6400 multi-format production switcher to provide HDR support for live SD, HD and 4K/UHD productions. The Kahuna, along with its modular switcher interface panel, is housed in OB-11, DB Video’s new mid-sized OB vehicle.

The cameras are already in use and were chosen for their reliability and the possibility of producing in 4K when needed.
Cinevideo selects Sony Professional Solutions for its first 4K HDR OB Van
Cinevideo, an Italian production company specialising in content creation and television productions, has selected Sony Professional Solutions as a strategic partner for the development of its first 4K HDR OB Van, capable of handling the most demanding audio-visual productions. The OB Van is present at IBC in the demonstration area dedicated to mobile productions. The OB Van, equipped with Sony's XVS-8000 video mixer and Sony HDRC-4000 conversion unit, will allow Cinevideo to offer major broadcasters - such as RAI, Mediaset and Sky - simulcast single production workflow of major Italian and international events for HDR, SDR, UHD, HD signals. The HDRC-4000 is crucial to “SR Live” - the efficient HDR Live Production workflow developed by Sony. Equally, the powerful new XVS-8000 video mixer both works within the SDI infrastructure and is IP ready.
Sony unveils its first 8K System Camera with three 8K sensors
At IBC2017 Sony unveiled the UHC-8300, its first 8K camera system to include three 1.25-inch 8K sensors. The UHC-8300 was demonstrated at the Sony stand for the first time globally.
